The newest addition to Barbie!!

Meet Tokidoki Barbie
She's edgy, with pink hair, sky-high stilettos, and a cactus-covered pet named Bastardino!
Tokidoki is the newest barbie, and what makes her different from any other Barbie that has ever hit the shelves... is her body art... which has some parents on edge
Tokidoki Barbie's upper body is covered with exotic-looking tattoos: A large flower covers her chest, and a tiger curls up her neck.
She's inspired by Japanese art and anime,

Here's what some parents say about the doll......
"I don't think it's appropriate for little girls to be having Barbies with tattoos all over," - Reye Griffith
A parent of a four-year-old daughter, said, "I think it sends all the wrong signals for young girls." - Mitti Hansen,

Tokidoki is not the first Barbie to sport tattoos. In 2009, Mattel unveiled "Totally stylin' Barbie, but her tattoos were stick-on and removable.

Body art is a growing trend. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, one in four Americans ages 18 to 50 now has at least one tattoo.

Call me crazy but I'm all for tattooed barbie. Just look at her -- she's awesome! First of all, she's a limited edition collaboration from Mattel and the Italian brand Tokidoki (yes, the same company that sells cosmetics in adorable punk/animé packaging at Sephora) targeted at collectors, not 6-year-olds.
Secondly, let's get real for a minute: It's not like this new model represents some drastic departure from her usual style of sweater sets and linen slacks. So now she has tattoos.
I'm sorry, but when did tattoos become a symbol of immorality?
Yes, Barbies are almost always blonde and blue-eyed. Yes, Barbie has enormous boobs and a teeny-weeny waist, proportions no human being could ever pull off.
Barbie is also 11.5 inches tall and made of plastic.
No reason to be outraged over a doll, and I would definitely buy it for my daughter if she asked!

What's your opinions?
Pink hair and tattoos.... Jessica
